Travel and Documentation
Travel to and from Ulaanbaatar before and after a tour is the sole responsibility and at the cost of the tour participant. Participants are advised to make all necessary international travel arrangements well in advance of the tour date, as the availability of seats on flights to Mongolia is often limited.
Although Mandal Tours can provide the references of travel agents who provide booking services for travel to Mongolia, no responsibility is accepted for any liability or loss that may be caused by the actions of any such agent.
To enter Mongolia, a tour participant requires a valid passport. No visa is required for United States citizens visiting for fewer than 90 days; citizens of most other countries require a tourist visa, which can be obtained from the Mongolian embassy or consulate in their country of residence.
Where an invitation to Mongolia is required to obtain a visa, Mandal Tours in Mongolia will arrange for the requisite invitation.
Travel and Medical Insurance
We recommend that all tour participants obtain travel insurance covering such matters as flight cancellation, flight delay and baggage loss or delay. Participants are also responsible for medical insurance for the duration of their trips. These are usually available through your travel and insurance agents.
We strongly recommend that all travellers to Mongolia take out a medical insurance policy that covers emergency evacuation. We also recommend obtaining immunisations against hepatitis A, typhoid, and rabies.
